Temecula Valley Historical Society

Last week, Michelle and I had the opportunity to have a private tour of the Temecula Valley Historical Society. If you are a history buff or love antiques, this is the place for you! The center has a LOT of interesting items from the 1800-1900s and the best part is that it is in full view and not tucked away behind glass.

I’ve posted the photos I took below. The next time you get a chance, take your family and friends who are in town and go see the amazing pieces of history they’ve collected!

Thank you Krissie & Charlie, Darrell for being terrific hosts!

Bike Train, Harveston Community

Kudos to Principal Dixon and the Mayor of Temecula for a successful event last week, the Bike Train!

The Bike Train is for children in grades 3-5 who attend Ysabel Barnett Elementary school and have permission from their parents. Parents can also participate. The students meet at designated points around Harveston Community at 830a and together, ride their bikes to school.

I think it’s a fantastic idea that encourages kids to be in the beautiful outdoors and exercise. It also helps develop a sense of community and it’s another wonderful way to spend time and have FUN!
