Rodrigo’s Mexican Restaurant

Had a chance to drop by Rodrigo’s for Happy Hour. We shared a margarita and ordered their fajita quesadilla – both delicious! We’re thinking of going again for our next Date Night.. Maybe even Cinco de Mayo!

Rodrigo’s is located in the Sprouts plaza on Winchester Rd.

A Walk to Remember, Santa Rosa Plateau

Several weekends ago, we were looking for something outdoorsy to do. Neither one of us had ever been to the Santa Rosa Plateau before so we thought we’d give it a try. It was a great decision – we took an amazing hike! I really had no idea how much beauty there was nearby. I think we chose the perfect time to go. The plateau was green as far as the eye could see, and it was outrageously serene. We felt transported to another planet. We took a lovely, simple lunch of bread, cheese, and olives, and after some hiking, we sat down underneath one of the old, majestic trees. The plateau was breezy. The wind crept slowly over all the rolling hills. The temperature was not too warm, not too cool, and the sun shone down on us just right. I tell you, I think I’ll always remember that day. 🙂

Old Towne Temecula

Everyone loves a good treasure. And there’s so much to be had in Old Towne Temecula. We were in search of the perfect cheese for our excursion to Santa Rosa Plateau (see next post), so we decided to explore the specialty shops in Old Towne, hoping to find something. We hit it big!The Perfect MealIn this plaza, tucked away just off the main drag, there were several lovely shops – not the least of which had just what we were looking for! We chose a Chaource soft cheese from France at the Temecula Valley Cheese Company and took advantage of their olive bar as well. Earlier we had gone to Valle d’Brume for a beautiful French baguette. Talk about mission accomplished!

After wrapping it up there, we popped our heads into Kindred Work + Shop and Olivedipity. Kindred had amazing, amazing prints with fun, inspirational messages – and a good sale on them. They have events every week, if not nightly. I took a flyer and hope to bring my girl in for their kids night. At Olivedipity, we perused the many tantalizing bottles of flavored vinegars and olive oils. Any number of bottles there would make a great gift, I thought to myself.

I didn’t want to leave the pretty shops, but alas, we had to be on our way..
