The days can get busy. And parents need to eat. I don’t always have the time nor want to expend the energy into making a meal for myself though. I used to spend $6.00 on a smoothie at the local juice place two times a week or more after the gym. Fortunately, I didn’t do that for very long because it is a costly habit. I tried several other smoothie recipes but they were either too sweet or not tasty enough to commit to.
Finally, I created a really great protein smoothie – low sugar -which I love. It may not be up your alley, but I wanted to share with you just in case. 🙂 Caution: Contains peanut butter. No dairy.
Mom’s Go-To Smoothie
- Choose your tumbler of choice
- Fill to the rim with ice
- Fill tumbler of ice with vanilla rice milk, unsweetened
- Pour into blender
- 2.5 tablespoons of organic peanut butter
- 1 banana
- 1 small squeeze of organic honey
- Premium choc chips, if so desired
- Blend
- Enjoy!!
