Viva Las Vegas

One of the best advantages to living in the Southern California area is proximity to so many exciting things – Hollywood, L.A., terrific beaches, famous shopping destinations, and last but not least – driving distance to Las Vegas!

We took some time out and drove to Las Vegas for the weekend. We saw so many beautiful exhibits and experienced amazing food at The Wynn, Aria, and Paris hotels. And believe it or not, we did ZERO gambling. This trip was all about the sights and cuisine. Next time, we’re going to try Aria’s spa and hopefully catch a show. Viva Las Vegas!!

Pechanga Resort & Casino

As if living in Harveston Community wasn’t already great, guess what’s close by! Yes – Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula! My aunt was in town with her friends so the kids and I met her for dinner at the food court. It is a very delicious food court, btw!

If you want to get away but can’t get away too far, this is the perfect place to go. The first time I had been to Pechanga, I was very impressed. It is a nice casino. (This is coming from someone who loooves Las Vegas.) The interior is elegant and the customer service is excellent. Pechanga is also known for its entertainment and they do have an impressive lineup. In fact, I just missed Lady Antebellum! Alan Jackson is currently sold out and Diana Ross is playing on September 11th!

Quick Trip to The Promenade

I’ll go more in depth soon about The Promenade shopping mall here in Temecula, but I wanted to quickly share with you just how pleasant the plaza is. I had to stop and pick up something at Sephora. I was crossing the walkway and snapped this shot. It was a cool, Summer evening and many people were walking about and some were catching a movie.

There are several restaurants and terrific stores like Apple, Sephora, Coach, The Yard House, and more. We’ll be back tomorrow evening to catch the release of Cowboys and Aliens!
